The Alpha 6700 is Sony’s APS-C E-mount mirrorless camera, announced on 12 July 2023 and still the company’s current top APS-C model. It uses a 26.0-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor without an optical low-pass filter alongside the BIONZ XR processing engine and a dedicated AI processing unit for subject recognition. Video is recorded at up to 4K 120p in 10-bit 4:2:2, with S-Log3 and S-Cinetone picture profiles. The body has five-axis in-body stabilisation rated at 5.0 stops, a vari-angle 3.0-type touch monitor and both microphone and headphone sockets.
