Canon announced the EOS R8 Mark II on 15 September 2026 as the lightest EOS body with in-body stabilisation. It pairs a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with DIGIC X, a 5-axis sensor-shift IS rated up to 7.5 stops, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II covering 100% of the frame. Burst reaches 40 frames per second with the electronic shutter, video runs to uncropped 4K 60p oversampled from 6K, and the 499g body arrives late October at $1,899.
