The iPad Air 11-inch (M4) sits between the standard iPad and the iPad Pro, pairing the M4 chip and 12GB of unified memory with a 2360-by-1640 Liquid Retina display rated at 500 nits. It carries the same Apple N1 networking chip and Apple C1X cellular modem as the iPad Pro, so it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, and Touch ID is built into the top button. Apple announced it in March 2026, opened pre-orders on 4 March and began sales on 11 March 2026. A 13-inch version with a 2732-by-2048 display and 600 nits of brightness is sold alongside it.
