Vivo dates X500 series for 21 September in China
Three models are confirmed: X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. Vivo has detailed the camera work with Zeiss and a Sony-built sensor, and left chipsets, batteries and prices unannounced.

- vivo has confirmed a 21 September 2026 launch for the X500 series in China; the date was given at vivo's Creator Festival.
- Three models are confirmed: vivo X500, vivo X500 Pro and vivo X500 Pro Max.
- vivo says the main camera uses a custom sensor developed with Sony, which it brands Blueprint 900 and which has also been referred to as LYT-901.
- vivo claims up to 17EV of dynamic range from that main camera.
- Confirmed video modes include 4K 240fps slow motion and 4K 120fps HDR recording.
- vivo says the X500 Pro Max carries 3 degrees of optical stabilisation, rated to CIPA 7.0.
- The camera system is again co-tuned with Zeiss, marketed as a Zeiss Ultra Dynamic Main Camera.
- vivo has not announced chipsets, battery capacities, display specifications, storage tiers or prices. Reports of a Dimensity 9600M and a battery in the 7,000-7,500mAh range are unconfirmed.
- Only the China launch is confirmed. vivo has given no global or India dates.
Why it matters
The X500 Pro and Pro Max are among the first flagships to publish 4K 240fps capture as a headline feature, and the series lands the day before Oppo's, so China buyers get two directly comparable camera flagships inside 24 hours. Global and India buyers usually wait several months more.
