Redmi Note 17 Pro Max ships with a 10,000mAh battery

Xiaomi's global mid-range launch on 27 August starts at EUR 599.90 for the Pro Max, though battery capacity differs by region.

The details

  • Xiaomi held the global premiere for the Redmi Note 17 series on 27 August 2026.
  • Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G carries a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery (16 per cent silicon content) with 100W HyperCharge, which Xiaomi describes as the largest battery in any of its smartphones as of September 2026.
  • Xiaomi quotes up to 40 hours of video playback, 24 hours of navigation, 21 hours of gaming and 15 hours of video recording on the Pro Max.
  • The Pro Max has a 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
  • The series is certified to IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, with a 3-metre drop-resistance certification from SGS and a 2-metre, 72-hour water-resistance test from TUV SUD.
  • The Pro Max uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and supports up to 27W reverse charging.
  • Cameras on the Pro Max: 50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, 32MP front.
  • A photochromic Cloud Blush finish shifts from cloud white to warm pink-orange in sunlight; Green, Purple and Black are also offered.
  • Xiaomi bundles 24 months of quality assurance, one free screen replacement within 24 months, one free battery replacement within 36 months and one free back-cover replacement within 24 months.
  • Battery capacity varies by region: 9,210mAh versions are sold in Europe and Australia, 10,000mAh versions in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Japanese sales began 28 August 2026; Singapore pre-orders ran 27 August to 2 September with general sales from 3 September; a Malaysian launch event was held on 2 September.
  • The phones ship on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. No United States release is planned.
