Primebook 3 Max launches in India at Rs 35,990 with MediaTek Genio 720 and 8GB LPDDR5

Indian laptop brand Primebook has launched the 15.6-inch Primebook 3 Max, running its Android-based PrimeOS on MediaTek's Genio 720, at Rs 35,990, with festive marketplace discounts bringing the effective price to Rs 33,490 to Rs 33,990.

The details

  • Primebook launched the Primebook 3 Max in India at Rs 35,990, FoneArena reported on 3 October 2026, and Primebook's online store lists the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model at that price.
  • During Flipkart Big Billion Days and the Amazon Great Indian Festival, platform discounts of Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 bring the Primebook 3 Max's effective price to between Rs 33,490 and Rs 33,990, with additional instant bank discounts of Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 on Flipkart and Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,500 on Amazon.
  • The Primebook 3 Max is sold through Amazon.in, Flipkart and Primebook's website, and offline at Bajaj Electronics stores in Delhi-NCR and Bangalore and at Sangeetha Mobiles and Pai International stores across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  • The laptop uses MediaTek's 6nm Genio 720, with two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and an NPU rated at up to 10 TOPS; Primebook claims up to 40% higher performance than the previous generation.
  • Memory is 8GB of LPDDR5, replacing the LPDDR4X used in the previous generation, with 128GB of UFS storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD.

  • PrimeOS, Primebook's Android-based operating system, adds native Linux apps such as VS Code, GIMP, LibreOffice and Arduino IDE with a Linux terminal, alongside the PrimeOffice suite and PrimeAGNT, which Primebook describes as an operator AI that performs tasks on the user's behalf.
  • Primebook says a second third-generation model, the Primebook 3 Pro, will follow at a later date.

Why it matters

Primebook is taking an Android-derived operating system to the mid-Rs 30,000 price bracket, so the 3 Max's case rests largely on software: native Linux apps with a terminal, which Primebook pitches at engineers and aspiring developers, plus an offline office suite and the PrimeAGNT agent. The move to LPDDR5 memory and a 6nm chip with a 10 TOPS NPU is the generation's main hardware change, and the launch is timed to the Flipkart and Amazon festive sales.
