Nothing lifts Indian prices by up to Rs 5,000 on three phones

From 2 September the Phone (4b) starts at Rs 39,999 and the Phone (4a) Pro at Rs 54,999. It is the latest brand to pass on higher memory costs in India this month.

  • Phone (4a) Pro 8GB/128GB: Rs 49,999 to Rs 54,999, a rise of Rs 5,000.
  • Phone (4a) Pro 8GB/256GB: Rs 54,999 to Rs 57,999, a rise of Rs 3,000.
  • Phone (4a) 8GB/128GB: Rs 42,999 to Rs 44,999, a rise of Rs 2,000.
  • Phone (4a) 8GB/256GB: Rs 46,999 to Rs 49,999, a rise of Rs 3,000.
  • Phone (4a) 12GB/256GB: Rs 49,999 to Rs 50,999, a rise of Rs 1,000.
  • Reports describe this as a second increase for parts of the Phone (4a) line in 2026.
  • Other brands moved in the same fortnight: Xiaomi raised Redmi 15A series and tablet prices by Rs 500 to Rs 3,000, and Poco added Rs 500 to the C85x 5G.
  • Indian retail smartphone prices are up about 21% on average so far in 2026, ahead of Asia Pacific at 19%, the Middle East and Africa at 18% and Latin America at 16%.

  • Nothing Phone (4a) Pro 8GB/256GB: Rs 57,999 (was Rs 54,999)

Why it matters

The Phone (4b) was Nothing's sub-Rs 35,000 entry point, and the increase removes it from that bracket entirely. The timing, weeks before India's festive sales, means list prices are climbing just as discount season starts.
