Huawei takes its 4.7mm MatePad Pro 12 tablet to Europe
The 12-inch OLED tablet, on sale in China since August, got European pricing at a Munich event on 2 September. It starts at 799 euros and is 4.7mm thick.

- Huawei announced international availability at a product event in Munich on 2 September 2026, after a China debut on 5 August.
- The tablet has a 12-inch flexible OLED PaperMatte display at 3036 x 1952, 144Hz, with peak brightness quoted at 1,600 nits.
- Huawei lists the body at 4.7mm thick and 454g, in a full-metal unibody.
- Battery capacity is 10,400mAh typical, with 40W reverse wired charging; Huawei quotes up to 14.7 hours of video playback.
- Cameras are 50MP on the rear and 12MP on the front.
- Audio is a four-speaker crossover system with quad bass drivers.
- Colours are Blue and Space Gray.
- The tablet works with Huawei's M-Pencil Pro stylus and magnetic Glide Keyboard.
- It runs HarmonyOS, so Google Mobile Services are not included.
- Huawei did not give UK or US availability, and US import restrictions apply.

Why it matters
At 799 euros this lands well under the iPad Pro 11 in the same market while being thinner and lighter than either the iPad Pro or the Galaxy Tab S11, which puts real pressure on the premium Android tablet tier in Europe.
