Googlebook pre-orders open: five Android laptops from $899
Google opened Googlebook pre-orders on 21 September 2026 with five Android laptops from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo starting at $899, shipping 4 October in the US and 5 October in six other markets.

- Google opened pre-orders for the first wave of Googlebook laptops on 21 September 2026 through the Google Store and select retailers.
- The initial Googlebook lineup consists of five models built by Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
- The Acer Googlebook 14 starts at $899, the lowest price in the lineup, and is the only convertible in the first wave.
- The Dell XPS Googlebook is priced at $1,199 and pairs a 13.4-inch 2.5K display with a Snapdragon X Elite processor.
- The ASUS Googlebook 14, HP Googlebook 14 and Lenovo Googlebook 15 are each priced at $1,299.
- Google says the laptops use Intel and Qualcomm processors paired with dedicated NPUs capable of over 45 TOPS.
- Google states the devices have touchscreens with up to 2.8K OLED displays and up to 14 hours of battery life.
- Googlebooks ship from 4 October 2026 in the United States and from 5 October 2026 in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and Australia.
- Each Googlebook includes 12 months of Google AI Pro with 5TB of cloud storage, plus three months of YouTube Premium and Adobe Photoshop.
- Google says Googlebooks will receive regular feature drops and updates for up to 10 years.
