Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets a gearless hinge and an IP68 rating
Google's foldable is around 10 per cent lighter and 1mm thinner than last year's, with 16GB of RAM; US pricing is reported at USD 1,899.

- Tensor G6 chip with 16GB of RAM.
- Both the outer Super Actua screen and the inner display are rated 20 per cent brighter than the previous generation, at 3,600 nits.
- The outer display uses an ultra-strong ceramic cover glass; the inner display gets a thicker glass layer.
- New gearless hinge; Google rates the phone as three times more durable than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and gives it an IP68 dust and water rating.
- Roughly 10 per cent lighter and about 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with thinner bezels.
- New 48MP main camera and a telephoto with up to 30x Super Zoom.
- Over 24 hours of battery life claimed; 30W wired charging reaches 50 per cent in about 30 minutes, wireless up to 25W Qi 2.2.
- Glass fibre composite back cover; two colours, Obsidian and a new Olive.
- Software additions include sign-to-text translation with ASL support, optimised bubbles for multitasking, split screen, drag and drop and Instant View.
- US price reported at USD 1,899, a USD 100 rise over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold; European reporting lists EUR 1,999 for 256GB, EUR 2,129 for 512GB and EUR 2,389 for 1TB. Google's own announcement post does not state pricing.

Why it matters
Google's foldable is the one that most directly pressures Samsung's book-style devices, and the weight, thickness and hinge changes are the first substantial mechanical redesign since the line began.
