ColorOS 17 beta starts seeding before a 17 September launch
Oppo began pushing the Android 17 build on 11 September, starting with the Find N6, OnePlus 15 and realme GT 8 Pro in China. The launch event is set for Zhuhai on 17 September.

- Oppo has scheduled the ColorOS 17 launch and its developer conference for 17 September 2026 in Zhuhai.
- ColorOS 17 is based on Android 17.
- The first beta batch began on 11 September 2026 and runs to 17 September, covering devices including the Oppo Find N6, OnePlus 15 and realme GT 8 Pro.
- A second batch from 17 to 24 September adds the Oppo Find X8 series, OnePlus 13 and realme GT 7 Pro.
- A third batch from 3 to 9 October covers tablets and further models including the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, OnePlus Ace 5 series and realme Neo 7 line.
- The published beta schedule spans about 40 devices and applies to China only; no India dates have been given.
- Oppo says the finished release will reach more than 130 models across Oppo, OnePlus and realme.
- Oppo's own performance claims are around 35% better system fluidity, 20% faster app launches and 50% more apps held in the background.
- Interface changes include a frosted-glass look, a redesigned Control Centre with circular controls and a capsule-shaped navigation bar.
Why it matters
This is the release that finishes folding OnePlus and realme into a single software stack, so OxygenOS and realme UI users are now on Oppo's schedule rather than their own. The beta list is the clearest signal yet of which phones survive that merge.
