Antigravity A1 360 drone drops to $799 with wearable controls, 351g catch
Antigravity, the drone brand co-engineered by Insta360, put its 8K 360-degree A1 on sale on 20 October 2026 in a Follow Me Bundle at $799 in the US and £639 in the UK, roughly half the $1,599 / £1,219 Motion Controller kit. The saving comes from dropping the Vision goggles and Grip motion controller in favour of two wearables, an Insta360 Watch Remote and a Ring Remote that flies the drone by hand. The catch DPReview flagged is weight: the high-capacity battery in the box takes takeoff weight to 351g, past the 250g line that keeps the standard 249g A1 free of registration in the US and EU.
The details
- Antigravity began selling the A1 Follow Me Bundle on 20 October 2026, with DPReview reporting it as available that day through Antigravity's own store, B&H and Best Buy.
- Antigravity's US store prices the Follow Me Bundle at $799 with a 'SAVE $120' label, against $1,599 for the A1 Standard Bundle built around the Motion Controller, and its UK store lists the same two kits at £639 and £1,219.
- The Follow Me Bundle contents listed by Antigravity are one A1 drone, one Insta360 Watch Remote, one Insta360 Ring Remote, four full-coverage propeller guards, one High-Capacity Flight Battery, one lens guard, four spare propellers and a crossbody bag; the $1,599 Standard Bundle instead ships with the Vision Goggles, the Grip Motion Controller, a flight battery, a carry case and four spare propellers.
- DPReview reported on 20 October 2026 that the watch carries a 1.7-inch display for live view, recording, mode selection and picking the subject to track, while the ring handles 'Drag-to-Fly' control, and that both wearables are rated IP67.
- The weight problem DPReview identified on 20 October 2026 is that the Follow Me drone takes off at 351g with its high-capacity battery while the standard configuration sits at 249g, so flying it legally in the US and EU takes extra steps, with buyers either registering the drone or fitting a standard battery to get back under the limit.
- Antigravity's own A1 specification page advertises a 249g takeoff weight, noting that figures may vary slightly by batch and that weight exceeds 249g once the High-Capacity Flight Battery supplied with the Follow Me Bundle is fitted.
- Antigravity's published flight-time figures are 24 minutes on the Standard Flight Battery and 39 minutes on the High-Capacity Flight Battery, measured windless at 25C while flying forward at 6 m/s below 50m with recording disabled.
- DPReview noted that flight time, range and top speed are substantially reduced on the Follow Me version because of the full-coverage propeller guards, and that Antigravity says performance matches the standard drone once those guards are removed.
- The A1 shoots 8K 360-degree video at up to 30p using two Type 1/1.28 (76mm2) sensors behind F2.2 lenses, and DPReview puts its maximum tracking speed at 10 m/s (22.4 mph).
- DPReview reported the watch and ring can be bought separately for $340, with a 20 percent discount for existing A1 owners, and Antigravity sells them as the A1 Follow Me Accessory Kit.
- Antigravity's own footnote on the A1 page says the high-capacity model "is not sold in European regions", so the 351g Follow Me configuration is a US and UK proposition; the same footnote says that with a standard flight battery, which keeps the drone at 249g, no training or certification is required in most countries and regions.
