OnePlus 15 gets stable ColorOS 17 on Android 17 in India, 4 days early

OnePlus started pushing the stable ColorOS 17 build, based on Android 17, to the OnePlus 15 on 25 October 2026 as build CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01). The rollout is India-only for now and arrived four days ahead of the 29 October date OnePlus had published. It also retires OxygenOS on the phone, part of the switch to ColorOS that OnePlus confirmed for all eligible devices in July 2026.

The details

  • OnePlus began pushing the stable ColorOS 17 build, based on Android 17, to the OnePlus 15 on 25 October 2026, carrying the build number CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01).
  • The rollout is happening only in India for the time being, and OnePlus has not said when OnePlus 15 owners in other markets will receive the stable build.
  • The update arrived four days ahead of schedule: the rollout plan OnePlus published on 13 October 2026 had listed the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus Pad 4 for 29 October 2026, with the OnePlus 15R, OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s following on 30 October 2026, further models through November and December 2026, and some mid-range devices waiting until Q1 2027.
  • ColorOS 17 permanently replaces OxygenOS on the OnePlus 15, following OnePlus's confirmation on 16 July 2026 that all eligible OnePlus devices would move from OxygenOS to ColorOS with the Android 17 update, in all regions.
  • The India-first rollout follows OnePlus's announcement of 16 July 2026 that it is exiting Europe and North America and will no longer release new products there, while continuing to launch in India; existing devices in the exited markets still receive software updates and security patches on their normal schedules.
  • An India-only ColorOS 17 open beta for the OnePlus 15 took registrations from 9 to 12 October 2026, ahead of Oppo's global ColorOS 17 launch on 13 October 2026, and rolling back to OxygenOS 16 required OnePlus's rollback package, which erases all data.
  • ColorOS 17 pairs a Luminous Rendering Engine and a new Unified Rendering Architecture behind its Living Flow design, giving touch-responsive light effects and elastic animations, with a Laminar Flow Engine whose Adaptive Scheduling Architecture shifts system resources to the current task and keeps more apps ready in the background; the clock also transforms from the lock screen to the home screen and notification panels morph with each tap and drag.
  • OPPO AI in ColorOS 17 adds AI Mind Pilot, whose Agent mode can organise and rename photos and files from their content and date, alongside AI Mind Space, AI Mind Suggest, AI Photo Agent, OSee camera recognition, AI Face Swap Detection for manipulated faces in single-person photos, Synthetic Voice Recognition that flags AI-generated voices on phone and WhatsApp calls, AI Live Interpreter and an Enhanced Protection Mode.
  • The OnePlus 15 was announced on 27 October 2025 and released on 28 October 2025 running Android 16, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.78-inch 1272×2772 LTPO AMOLED at 165Hz, a 7,300 mAh battery and 120W wired plus 50W wireless charging; CPH2745 is one of its model codes, matching the build string of this update.
  • ColorOS 17 is not the first Android 17 skin to reach buyers: Nothing began rolling out Nothing OS 5.0 based on Android 17 to the Nothing Phone (3) on 12 October 2026, and Sony began seeding its Android 17 update to the Xperia 1 VII across Europe on 22 October 2026.
