The Alpha 7R VI is Sony’s sixth-generation high-resolution full-frame E-mount camera, announced on 13 May 2026 and available from June 2026. It pairs an approximately 66.8-megapixel back-illuminated fully-stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with the BIONZ XR2 engine and its integrated AI processing unit, allowing blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 fps and 8K 30p or uncropped 4K 120p recording. In-body 5-axis stabilisation is rated at 8.5 stops at the centre of the frame and 7.0 stops at the periphery under the CIPA 2024 standard. The body carries a 9,437,184-dot Quad-XGA OLED viewfinder, a 3.2-type four-axis monitor, two CFexpress Type A/SD slots and the higher-capacity NP-SA100 battery.
