The EOS R1 is Canon’s flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, released in November 2024. It pairs a 24.2-megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor with the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X processors, and uses cross-type phase-detection autofocus at the imaging sensor. Continuous shooting reaches 40 frames per second with the electronic shutter, and 6K DCI RAW video is recorded internally at up to 60p. The body carries an integrated vertical grip, two CFexpress Type B slots and a 2.5GBASE-T wired LAN terminal.
