This policy explains what personal information MobiFacts collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have kept it specific to what this site actually does.
What we collect
When you just read the site
- Approximate location. We make a rough guess at which country you are in, so prices can be shown in a sensible currency. This is done by asking a geolocation service for the country your connection appears to be in. Your IP address is sent to that service for that purpose. We store only the resulting country code, in a cookie on your own device.
- Preferences. Your chosen country, currency and language are stored in cookies on your device so the site remembers them. Recently viewed devices are stored in your browser and never sent to us.
- Server logs. Our hosting records ordinary access logs, including IP address, for security and diagnostics.
When you submit a review
- The name and email address you enter, the review text and rating, your IP address and browser user-agent. WordPress collects these to allow moderation and to prevent spam and abuse.
- Your name and review are published. Your email address and IP address are not published.
Advertising and analytics
This site carries third-party advertising, which may include Google AdSense. Advertising partners may set their own cookies and use them to select advertisements. We do not control those cookies and cannot see what they contain. You can review and change Google’s advertising settings at adssettings.google.com.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not send marketing email. There is no mailing list.
- We do not require you to create an account to read anything.
How long we keep it
Published reviews and the details attached to them are kept while the review remains on the site. Rejected submissions are deleted. Preference cookies expire after a year, or when you clear them. Server logs are kept for as long as our host retains them.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to legal@mobifacts.com from the address you used, and we will deal with it within a reasonable period. If you want a review removed, tell us which one and we will take it down.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act or the EU/UK GDPR. We will honour a valid request under those laws.
Cookies you can refuse
The preference cookies described above are set only to remember choices you made, and the site works without them — you will simply be asked again. Advertising cookies are set by third parties and can be controlled through your browser settings or the advertising settings link above.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
