OnePlus stops launching phones in Europe and North America

Confirmed on 16 July: no new products for those markets, with existing owners kept on the update schedules they were sold.
The details
- OnePlus confirmed on 16 July 2026 that it will not launch new products in Europe or North America.
- The company's statement to press said after-sales support and software updates for existing users remain guaranteed.
- No new OnePlus devices are being manufactured or sold for the US and European markets; remaining retail stock is being cleared with no restocking.
- Existing devices keep scheduled software updates and security patches for the periods originally committed per model. The OnePlus 15 was sold with 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
- OnePlus closed its North American Community website and app on 16 August 2026.
- China operations continue. OnePlus has publicly called India one of its most important markets, though several reports say an India wind-down is not ruled out for early 2027.
- Reported drivers include weak smartphone demand, memory-chip cost pressure, double-digit shipment declines at parent Oppo in Q2 2026, and OnePlus US market share below 1 per cent.
- Follows Oppo's April 2026 restructuring that placed OnePlus and realme in a single sub-brand business unit.
Why it matters
One of the defining Android challenger brands of the last decade has withdrawn from two of the world's richest markets, removing a mainstream flagship option for Western buyers and leaving existing owners dependent on support commitments alone.
