Vivo X100 series flagships launched in India earlier this year and the company is apparently working on the successor already, which should be dubbed the Vivo X200. Reports suggest the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Today, a few more details about the Vivo X200 have surfaced online.
Vivo X200 could debut later this year
- Tipster DigitalChatStation claims the Vivo X200 will arrive as a small-screen flagship but will still have a 1.5K resolution and flat panel with symmetrical bezels on all corners.
- For comparison, the Vivo X100 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
- The Vivo X200 is claimed to have a custom 50MP Sony camera, which could be its main camera. We might see a 3x telephoto sensor as well. Earlier reports mentioned there will be a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
- Without mentioning the battery capacity, the tipster claims the Vivo X200 battery will use high-density silicon technology. This is said to be capable of having a larger capacity within the same size as the previous technology.
- The phone will use an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and not the ultrasonic model.
As for the Vivo X200 Pro, earlier leaks suggest it will have a 6.7-inch or 6.8-inch curved display with 1.5K pixels resolution and narrow bezels. Unlike the regular variant, the Pro model could get an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
The battery size is tipped to be large but the exact capacity details are not mentioned at the moment. For context, the Vivo X100 Pro featured a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
Considering the Vivo X100 series debuted in November in China, the successor might also debut around the same time, if not a little early. Either way, we are still months away from the announcement and we should learn more details soon.
