Ultrawide
There’s a vast difference between the ultrawide cameras of both phones. The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus has a 50MP lens with a 114-degree FOV, while the OnePlus Nord 4 has an 8MP lens with a 112-degree FOV. If you compare the stone pavement in the two photographs, you can see that the former’s image has more detail. In addition, the image’s dynamic range is superior to that of the OnePlus Nord 4. The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus records a broader frame, however the latter’s image has significantly better frame warping.
Winner: Nothing Phone (2a) Plus
Portrait
Both phones exhibit color inaccuracies in portrait mode. The OnePlus Nord 4 does the reverse and appears to have lighter skin tone than the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, which saturates the subject’s colors and skin tone.
But when it comes to capturing finer details, the OnePlus Nord 4 outperforms the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. It performs edge detection a little bit better as well. When you zoom in, you can see that the Nothing Phone (2a) photo has some distortion around the subject’s frame.
Winner: OnePlus Nord 4
Selfie
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus sports a 50MP camera for selfies, while its cousin just has a 16MP lens. Both phones’ photos are fairly similar, particularly in terms of how well skin tones are reproduced. The OnePlus Nord 4 is not as good at capturing facial details as the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. In addition, the former is sharper than the OnePlus Nord 4, making it the victor of this round.
Winner: Nothing Phone (2a) Plus

The OnePlus Nord 4 shoots superior low-light photos when night mode is turned off. In comparison to the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, the image is more sharper and the noise level is also reduced. Due to the abundance of bloom and the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus’s poor performance with light sources, visibility is compromised.
Winner: OnePlus Nord 4
Low-light (night mode on)
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus performs much better when night mode is turned on. Both visibility and the management of the light bloom have improved. Still, the picture is not as good as the one for the OnePlus Nord 4. The OnePlus Nord 4’s image doesn’t much improve because it automatically switches to low light when in a dimly lit area. If you look attentively at the circular rings in the sky, you can see that the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus has a more obvious lens flare than the OnePlus Nord 4, which has a better level of clarity in its image.
Winner: OnePlus Nord 4
Verdict
The OnePlus Nord 4 defeats the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus in the camera comparison, despite the fact that both phones are incredibly powerful. In the day, the OnePlus Nord 4 takes superior pictures. It also takes more detailed portrait photos, and the photos taken with this phone in low light look better. The cameras on the OnePlus Nord 4 are more flexible if you frequently enjoy shooting photos in various environments. On the other hand, if you frequently find yourself snapping selfies or recording a wider scene, you’re better off with the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus because it captures superior ultrawide pictures and selfies.
